Aina von EssenKeriAnne N. Jelinek is a Voice and Piano Instructor with over 20+ years of professional music teaching experience. She has taught in Public Schools, Private Schools and for Ensembles throughout Northern California, Southern California, San Antonio Metro Area, Seattle Metro Area and Brevard County, FL and Hillsborough County, FL. She holds an active K-12 Music Education Teaching Credential and a K-6 Elementary Education Teaching Credential from the Florida Department of Education. She has taught pre-school music all the way up to professional level vocal and piano studies. She has coached students for Disney auditions, Carnival Cruise Lines performances, America's Got Talent auditions, local theatre auditions, college entrance auditions, solo vocal ensemble auditions, role preparation for musical theatre shows, recitals, careers in the performing arts, and have prepared students for professional vocal and acting management companies. Many of her students have gone on to become professional singers, actors, music teachers, drama teachers, musical theatre professional singers, managed artists with professional management companies, and all of my students have gone on to enjoy a life rich in music.

Ms. Jelinek holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance from California State University, Fullerton and an Associate of Arts in Music from Yuba College. She has studied at El Camino College, Shoreline College and Fullerton College working on Post-Baccalaureate vocal and piano studies. She will be continuing her studies by obtaining a Music Education Masters Degree starting in the Fall of 2016.  She has acted as professional pianist, choral, instrumental and vocal accompanist, vocal coach, singer, church soloist, accompanist and pianist, choral conductor, voice and piano instructor. 

She has worked as music teacher, piano accompanist and vocal coach at Manhattan Beach Middle School, Lennox Unified School District, Redondo School of Dance and Music, Hermosa School of Dance and Music, Orange County Music Academy, Rancho Palos Verdes High School, Rancho Palos Verdes Elementary School, A Sharp School of Music, Alamo Music, Allegro Piano Studio, Luna Middle School,  Matthew's Music, and her privately owned music schools the Aria School of Music in Seattle, WA, Palm Bay School of Music in Palm Bay, FL and her current school the Brandon School of Music in Brandon, FL. She also has been engaged as the director of the Sacramento Opera Companie's Youth Chorus director for their production of La Boheme. She has acted as Assistant Director to the Yuba Sutter Youth Chorus, Bel Canto Singers, and the Yuba Sutter Master Chorale.   

As profesisonal vocalist, Ms. Jelinek as appeared with the Space Coast Symphonyas soprano and mezzo-soprano soloist in Handel's, Messiah. Soprano soloist in Mozart's Regina Coeli, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and in Vivaldi's Gloria with the Yuba Sutter Master Chorale. Solo performance appearances have included the Virtual Recital Series online and for Team Fox Benefit concert. She has sung with the Boston Pops Orchestra on tour and she has appeared in concert at Disney Hall in Los Angeles, CA. She has sung for the acclaimed composer Morten Lauridsen singing his Mid-Winter Songs. She has sung under acclaimed conductors including, John Alexander of the Pacific Chorale, Keith Lockhardt of the Boston Pops Orchestra, Grant Gershon of the Los Angeles Master Chorale and Los Angeles Opera Chorus, Dr. Robert Istad of the Long Beach Camerata and Pacific Chorale, Dr. Nicole Baker of Joyoissance, Dr. Vance Wolverton and many other conductors of merit. She received two full scholarships to the prestigious arts camp, Idyllwild Arts, to sing with the Festival Choir. She has sung the roles of Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Lay Sister (Suor Angelica), Despina (Cosi fan tutte) and First Lady (Die Zauberflote). She has studied voice under the famed pedagogue Joaquina C. Johnson, Rhona Klinghofer, Meg Stecker-Thorsen and currently under the training of Stella Zambalis at the Straz Center. She was accepted in the Resident Artist Training Program with the Central Florida Lyric Opera and was accepted into the prestigious vocal summer program Alpen Kammer Musik in Austria. 

Ms. Jelinek started her piano studies at the age of 9 years old and began teaching piano at the age of 12. She studied piano all the way up through college and took private lessons throughout her entire college and university degrees. She has performed as professional piano soloist, accompanist, church pianist/accompanist, music director, and has taught piano for over 20 years. She has performed at the San Fernando Cathedral as pianist and throughout San Antonio, Seattle Metro Area, Northern California, Southern California, and Florida as professional vocal, choral and instrumental accompanist as well.
