I started playing trumpet in the 5th grade beginning band at my elementary school in Miami, Florida. A year later I began taking guitar lessons at Associated School of Music in Hollywood, Florida at the insistence of my parents who thought that Roy Clark was the greatest thing they had seen since the invention of color television. After about a week of lessons and realizing (at a very young age) that the only thing I wanted to do was play guitar, I first heard one Edward Van Halen and forgot who Roy Clark was. I haven’t looked back since. I have played all over the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area in various 80’s type rock bands as well as playing guitar in the worship band at Flamingo Road Church in Cooper City, Florida, for 3 years. I moved to Tampa in 1995 with my wife and 8 month old son who is now 11. His name is Tyler. My daughter Rachel is 9, and my youngest son Liam is 6. I have played guitar in the Bay Life Church worship band for the past 11 years and have recently begun playing guitar for Church at the Bay in Westchase. I played for 5 years in a local classic rock band called the House Rockers which played locally and regionally around the state of Florida. In recent years my interests have been more in jazz than rock, and I am working on putting together a fusion group in the same vein as Tribal Tech, Frank Gambale, and Allan Holdsworth.
